Phase I of the Legacy of Faith Campaign was recently completed. This Phase started with pledges of
$3,035,704. After adjustments for increased cost of goods as a result of COVID, unfulfilled or cancelled
parishioner pledges, and our share of the One Church Many Disciples campaign that funded improvements across the Archdiocese, St. Charles realized $1,395,362 in funds to complete the projects listed below. The concrete parking lot was completed to include new lighting, an added 100 new parking spacesand increased accessibility of parking spaces for the physically challenged.
The drainage system was upgraded and retention pond added to reduce the flooding issues in the
Church and school buildings.
The entrance drive from State Street was relocated and reinforced concrete drive added to handle the heavy trash trucks accessing the dumpsters. A brick housing was also built to hide the dumpsters.
The fence is complete with new signage and brick columns. Chain link fence added around new
playground area for the school. Additional dirt was brought in to level the playground.
The west entrance of the Church has been reconfigured, eliminating stairs. Circle drive added with
easy access to main entrance and parking spaces for the physically challenged added.
The altar received a new marble floor, ceiling paint and new LED lights.
The confessionals were remodeled.
New restroom added at the main entrance of the church.
The two Phase Legacy of Faith project has an estimated cost of $5.8 million. With your continued support and prayers these are the items we can look forward to in Phase II:

Con gran cuidado y reflexión, el liderazgo de San Carlos Borromeo desarrolló un plan maestro para el campus. El plan se ha organizado en dos etapas con un coste estimado del proyecto completo de 5,8 millones de dólares.
La Fase I:- El estacionamiento de concreto se completó para incluir nueva iluminación, 100 nuevos espacios de estacionamiento adicionales y mayor accesibilidad a los espacios de estacionamiento para personas con discapacidades físicas.
- Se mejoró el sistema de drenaje y se agregó un estanque de retención para reducir los problemas de inundaciones en la iglesia y los edificios escolares.
- Se reubicó el camino de entrada desde State Street y se agregó un camino de concreto reforzado para manejar los camiones de basura pesados que acceden a los contenedores de basura. También se construyó una vivienda de ladrillo para ocultar los contenedores de basura.
- La cerca se completa con nueva señalización y columnas de ladrillo. Se agregó una cerca de tela metálica alrededor del nuevo área de juegos infantiles de la escuela. Se trajo tierra adicional para nivelar el patio de recreo.
- Se ha reconfigurado la entrada oeste de la Iglesia, eliminando escaleras. Se agregó una unidad circular con fácil acceso a la entrada principal y se agregaron espacios de estacionamiento para personas con discapacidades físicas.El altar recibió un nuevo piso de mármol, pintura de techo y nuevas luces LED.
- Los confesionarios fueron remodelados. Nuevo baño agregado en la entrada principal de la iglesia.
Lo que podemos esperar en la Fase II:- Un nuevo espacio flexible y de reunión para acomodar aprox. 100
- Nueva cocina para mejorar la funcionalidad para celebraciones, ministerios y hostelería
- Ampliar las instalaciones sanitarias
- Nuevo espacio para oficina administrativa parroquial
- Espacio de almacenamiento adicional una sala de llanto
- Adición de prekínder conectada a la escuela
- Habitación segura durante condiciones climáticas adversas
